World Snooker Championships Update

A big call out to the great efforts of our Aussie Snooker ambassadors at the 2018 World Snooker Championships in the UK. After 2 wild card entries for Ryan Thomerson and Adrian Ridley, Australia was set to be represented by 5 players which has been unmatched since the 80's when there were many more participants in the Championships. Ryan and Adrian along side Matthew Bolton, Kurt Dunham and seasoned Pro Neil Robertson made up the 5 Aussie players.

Over the last few days we have seen 3 of the players defeated in round 1 but not without going out with a fight and real signs of good things to come in the future.

Graeme Dott (10) def Adrian Ridley (1)
Matthew Stevens (10) def Ryan Thomerson (5)
Michael Georgiou (10) def Matthew Bolton (4)

Still in with a fighting chance is Kurt Dunham from Victoria who currently trails Daniel Wells 6-3 in a best of 19 frame round 1 match. Best of luck in the rest of your match Kurt!

Neil Robertson is yet to play and will be a hot chance to win this years World Snooker Championship.
