Due to the extreme conditions and power outage, this mornings play has been transferred to the Kedron -Wavell Snooker Club in Zillmere. Play has begun and spectators are welcome to visit and support the local and interstate players. Upcoming QF matches include Steve Mifsud vs Ben Farnsworth , Vinnie Calabrese vs Joe Minici, Daniel Haenga vs Glen Wilkinson. Two round of 16 matches are currently in progress, Luke Hough vs Shawn Budd and Ben Judge vs Paul Thomerson. YOUR SUPPORT IS VITAL to ensure ongoing Sponsorship agreement. The QBSA has organized Sponsorship from the Clem Jones Group to ensure an Australian Group A Ranking Tournament for our Queensland Members and to encourage the cream of Australian Snooker to participate. Eight of the top 10 players in Australia are participating but the Championship needs more Queenslanders to participate. Most Queensland players will be playing in the first Round against Queenslanders of similar ability and this Round has $110 Prize Money for each winner. Rounds 2 & 3 have similar Prize Money and Rounds 4, 5, 6 & 7 increases in value.  Total PRIZE MONEY exceeds $12,500 (conditional on 64 entrants) and is paid to winners of EACH & EVERY ROUND! Play commences on Friday 25th (9am) and continues until Monday 28th January 2013.The Dr Clem Jones AO Queensland Open Snooker Championship will be conducted at the Bribie Island Sports Club, Toorbul St., Bongaree, Bribie Island on Fri 25th, Sat 26th, Sun 27th & Mon 28th January 2013 and will be the first Australian Ranking Tournament of the year. The following information is based on attracting a minimum of 64 entrants – Prize Money will be awarded for each game won from the first round and total Prize Money is $12,500 Every player will also have a ticket in two (2) raffle draws to win a minimum cash prize of $320 (2 x $160). Ticket holders must be present at the draw to claim their prize. Draw is after conclusion of the Final on Monday 28th Jan. 2012 (If your ticket is drawn in the first raffle it is not returned into the draw for the second raffle.) Tickets will be on sale in the Bribie Sports Club for all persons present on the day. Entry fee is $110 per player.
