He composed the highest break in the Championship of 112 clearance in his Quarterfinal earlier in the day. Full results: 2012 Qld Under 21 Snooker Both Kurt Brown & Dayne VanKempen won their semifinals in dominating fashion 3 frames to 0 against Vijay Randall & Jayme White respectively. The Final will commence at 1:30pm. Kurt Brown scored an 112 clearance in the third frame to defeat Shane Theodorou 3 – 0 in his Quarterfinal. Thirteen players competed in the 2012 Championship with 3 very ‘cut-throat’ groups of 3 players and 1 group of 4 players. Jason Smiley made a 47 break and this a personal best for him. Dayne VanKempen scored the highestbreak of 50. Defending Queensland and current Australian Champion Kurt Brown only lost 1 frame to Mat Frerker who qualified 2nd in that group. Qualifying in the No. 1 positions are Kurt Brown, Dayne VanKempen, with Jamye White & Jessica Woods tying for the remaing positions. The Qld Under 21 Snooker Championship will be conducted at Redlands RSL Club, 8 Passage Street, Cleveland on 25th & 26th February 2012. Due to the number of games being unequal the Australian Championship Conditions 9.1 Note 2: If Round Robin Groups have not all played the same number of games, then the Frame Average will decide the seeding, not the Frame Win/Loss Ratio. The Frame Average = Frame Difference divided by number of frames played. Two players will be eligible for financial assistance to compete at the Australian Under 21 Snooker Cship in Perth WA between 13th to 15th April 2012. Providing the players eligble do commit to play at the Australian Under 21 Snooker Cship this financial assistance is able to be diverted to the Oceania Under 21 Snooker Championship at Princes in Melbourne between 22nd & 29th March 2012.
