Close final with Ben Farnworth going to the 5th frame, Ben making the high break of 65 in the semi. Chee, yet another grand tournament, well run and supported by the Matchroom patrons. Once again we had referees from north and south of Brisbane, a job well done, Des does it again. Kurt Brown wins the 2012 Matchroom Open defeating Peter Kitchener 4-1 in the final. In the 3rd frame Kurt knocked in a 117 break to eclipse Steve Burford’s 103 made in the earlier rounds. Matchroom Open Snooker No 2 seed Daniell Haenga lost to Tony Cheng 2 frames to 3 whilst Steve Burford continued his good form to beat 2nd seed Harry Haenga.
