Affiliate Club Delegates Meeting 17th July 2017.
Thank you to all the Club Delegates and Snooker Pennant Team Captains who took the time to attend the Delegates Meeting Thursday 29th June at The Sherwood Services Club. Representatives from all Pennant grades and Club Delegates had an interesting discussion about the Snooker Season just finishing and some options for the proposed Season commencing soon.
At the recent QB&SA AGM a proposal was raised to re-form the Brisbane and District Pennant Sub Committee to assist the Management Committee with the running of Pennant Snooker and Billiards. This question was put to the membership present and a unanimous decision was returned to re-form this Sub Committee.
Members and Delegates present were then asked to consider what format the new Pennant Season should consist of with their respective Clubs and members for discussion. The following three formats were proposed.
- A second graded Pennant Snooker Season. 4 players per team.
- A graded Billiard Pennant Season. Team or Individual based on numbers.
- A mixed Billiard/Snooker Pennant Season. Teams consisting of 2 Snooker and 2 Billiard Players.
Clubs Delegates were asked to discuss this with their members and return their preference by email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Monday 10th July.
For those Delegates that could not attend Thursday’s meeting please take note as your input is required to make this work. It is our wish that every Affiliate Club has a voice and is part of the decision process in the promotion and participation of our sport.
A delegates meeting has now been called for Monday 17th July at 6.30pm to formulate a proposal for the new Season at a venue to be announced.
